We actively encourage women and individuals from underrepresented groups to apply and bring their unique experiences and skills to our growing team. Together, we can shape the future of sustainable marine transportation.

About Celerity Craft
Celerity Craft is revolutionizing marine transportation with our Dynamic Air Cushion Vehicle (DACV) technology—delivering unmatched speed, energy efficiency, and zero-emission potential. By minimizing hydrodynamic drag and introducing innovative lift and thrust dynamics, our vessels are setting new standards for sustainable marine travel. Based in Squamish, BC, we operate at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, environmental stewardship, and innovation.

About the Role
Celerity Craft is seeking an Environmental Research Associate to contribute to research, planning, and analysis that supports the development of DACV technology. This role will focus on evaluating the environmental impact, operational opportunities, and sustainability potential of our vessels. Working closely with the engineering and marketing teams, you will help communicate Celerity Craft’s positive ecological impact while advancing data-driven insights to inform product development and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Environmental Impact Research: Analyze and quantify the environmental benefits of DACV technology, such as reductions in CO2 emissions, underwater noise, and wake impacts.
  • Sustainability Planning: Support lifecycle assessments and energy efficiency studies to highlight DACV’s role in decarbonizing marine transportation.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and interpret environmental, operational, and market data to identify opportunities for DACV implementation across industries.
  • Collaboration with Engineering: Work alongside the engineering team to model environmental scenarios, validate sustainability claims, and ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Market and Policy Research: Investigate environmental regulations, funding incentives, and industry trends related to green marine technology and transportation.
  • Support Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop data-backed content (white papers, reports, blog posts) that communicates Celerity Craft’s environmental leadership to investors, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and research abilities with a focus on environmental science, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, environmental modelling software, or lifecycle assessment platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical (engineering) and business (marketing) teams.
  • Knowledge of marine ecosystems, clean energy, and emissions reduction strategies is preferred.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, Sustainable Development, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in environmental research, lifecycle assessments, or sustainability-focused roles.
  • Experience working on technology-driven or clean energy projects is a strong asset.
